Sydneytelugu.org is a popular website where users from around the world and from Sydney Australia in particular engage, support, and advocate promotion of Telugu Language & Culture through Sydney Telugu Association (STA).
History
The first release of the website was in 2002. Subsequently several advertisement spaces were added to the website which have been very popular among business community to reach STA members with their products and services for mutual benefit. STA website was one of the top revenue generators and so far generated over $75k to member fund. Initially the website was hand coded. Later on sydneytelugu.org was completely re-designed using the popular Content Management System (CMS) Joomla, so that it can be maintained by several members. Site also supports and enhances other media of Sydney Telugu Association such as Telugu Vani, Telugu School, Vanitha mandali and Vahini etc. Site has been maintained with 99.99% uptime for the past 15 years.

- To offer a range of productivity tools that can help increase efficiencies and reduce costs – both of which are important in the resource-strained not-for-profit sector. Some of these tools include: publishing documents, online forms, member database management.
